Cold Water Temps
05/21/2006
Early ice out and warm temperatures give way to cold and rain in mid May. |
After a fast start and warm temeratures May turned cold and rainy. Forcast for the week leading up to Memorial day weekend calls for much warmer weather. But don't expect this to make for good fishing right away. Current water temps on the chain range from 51-55 degrees. Fast rising water temperatures normally make for fairly tough fishing. Once the water temperatures stablize fishing should pick up. Best action will be on the smaller lakes with Crappie & Bass providing the most consistant action. See "Guide Tips" for some ideas for Memorial day weekend fishing success.
