FULLMOON SMALLMOUTH!

Cooling water gets the fish active. And with turnover complete fishing will get even better!

David Stava & I boat several large Smallies by keying on the Sunrise / Sunset & Moon rise moon set time periods. We were in the middle of turnover on the 10/17/05 full moon. Water temps in the 55 degree range. We caught all our fish between first light and 8:30 am or 6pm to slightly after dark. In the mornings we had Sunrise & Moonset. In the evenings, Sunset & Moonrise, both occuring within one hour of each other. On the first evening we caught 12 bass all over 3 lbs and all were caught on crankbaits. The next morning we caught 13 more but 9 were caught on tube spinners! This bait would not produce the night before but became the most productive bait over the next day!
